Feel-Good Holiday Gift Guide Part 2

12.06.22 | Lisa Michelle | No Comments

If you’re looking for feel-good wellness gifts for your loved ones, I’m excited to share Part 2 of my gift guide. These are all products I personally love or am giving to my own friends and family this year.

A FUN AND FUNCTIONAL CUTTING BOARD PERFECT FOR SERVING CHEESE AND FRUIT
Fredericks and Mae Small Cutting Board in Blue

First up on today’s guide is this Small Cutting Board by Fredericks and Mae, as pictured above. I gifted the confetti-colored one to my sister earlier this year and it’s a pretty and functional piece to add to your kitchen. At $40, this feels like a good option for your work wife or close friend who’s really into designy things.

ps. If you’re in NYC, Big Night BK is a must-visit shop in Greenpoint. They sell this cutting board along with dozens of other super cute food and home items. I was in there a few weeks ago and felt so inspired by all of the yummy and beautiful products.

Cozy socks for curling up by the fire with a good book
Cozy socks from UGG

It’s cozy sock season! Don’t these fuzzy socks from Ugg make you just want to curl up on the sofa, ideally near a fire, with a good book and a mug of hot tea? This would make a great gift for anyone on your list who may be hard to shop for because honestly, who doesn’t love a good pair of cozy socks? I plan on wearing these all winter.

A dry brush for your friend who’s curious about Ayurveda
Yerba Prima Tampico Skin Brush with natural vegetable fiber bristles

Dry brushing is one of those things that you often see wellness influencers raving about on social media. I was a skeptic at first, but I eventually tried the practice myself and now that I’ve been doing it for a few years, I can see why it’s a great habit to establish. Dry brushing has many benefits and this double pack from Yerba Prima made with natural vegetable fiber bristles is the same one I personally use and recommend.

A cookbook filled with healthy and nourishing recipes
The Vegan Chinese Kitchen: Recipes and Modern Stories from a Thousand-Year-Old Tradition: A Cookbook

We’ve lived near Chinatown for over three years now and one of my favorite things to do is walk around and scope out the markets and restaurants. We have a ton of great options near us, but for the nights when I’m craving Chinese but want to cook at home, the recipes from The Vegan Chinese Kitchen look healthy and approachable. This book is on my own holiday wish list this year!

Makeup remover pads that are practical but also pretty
Dock & Bay Reusable Makeup Pads

I know this gift screams practicality, but I personally love these kinds of gifts so maybe you have someone on your list who’ll also appreciate this. I started using reusable makeup pads to wash off my mascara every night a few years ago and it’s been a total game-changer. Instead of wasting cotton pads, these pads can be tossed into the washing machine and it comes with a handy mesh wash bag. The reusable pads would pair well with other eco-friendly personal care gifts, such as Dr Teal’s Skin Therapy Epsom Salt Bath Soak or a Face Essentials gift set from Burt’s Bees.

A Body Cupping Kit for improved muscle tension and healthy circulation
Body Cupping Kit from WTHN

This is another item on my personal wish list because there are so many benefits to body cupping, but up until now, I always thought it was something that had to be done by my acupuncturist or another practitioner. Body cupping is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to reduce tension, increase circulation, and support detox. Suction from the cups gently lifts tissue up for a release. With this self cupping kit from Wthn, you can achieve these benefits at home. It’d be a great gift for your spouse or partner.

A must-read book for your friend who likes to nerd out on hormone health
Hormone Intelligence: The Complete Guide to Calming Hormone Chaos and Restoring Your Body’s Natural Blueprint for Well-Being

Dr. Aviva Romm is one of my mentors (unbeknownst to her) and this is a book I recommend to all of my health coaching clients and friends. If you have anyone in your life who is interested in women’s health, whether or not they’ve personally experienced hormone-related issues, this book is filled with valuable information and gentle guidance on how to optimize our health and hormones. I have personally benefitted from Dr. Romm’s teachings and cannot recommend her book enough. (And if you’re curious about getting a sense of what she shares in the book, you can start by listening to her podcast, On Health, which is one of my favorites.)

Everyday Oil to remind your bff that she’s a queen

What’s a wellness gift guide without the inclusion of this iconic product? Everyday Oil is really everyday luxury. Made with organic and wild-harvested botanical oils that are balancing, hydrating, cleansing, and nourishing for the face, body + hair (just about everywhere). I love this oil and have gifted it to family and friends over the years. Makes a perfect gift for your sister or BFF.

Gorgeous serving bowls handcrafted in Italy as the perfect hostess gift
Serving bowls from Piano Piano

How pretty are these serving bowls from Piano Piano? They’re a new tableware company founded by sisters, Sophie & Kiki. Each item in the collection is individually handcrafted and hand-painted by local Italian artisans in a small town on the Amalfi Coast. Their pieces are intended to serve as a reminder to slow down, celebrate every day, and gather with the ones we love. This would be a great hostess gift or something my mom or mother-in-law would love.

The perfect shade of lipstick from a clean beauty brand

For the last year or so, I’ve been swapping out my makeup for cleaner alternatives. Rose Inc is a great solution for lipstick. I bought this one in Deep Berry last year and it’s the perfect color (looks like I ate a popsicle) and glides on like a lip balm, super smooth. It’s also on sale right now for under $20. It’d be a great gift for a teen in your life.

A collection of tasty and elegant non-alcoholic spirits for your friends who aren’t drinking
Seedlip Non-Alcoholic Spirits

Have someone in your life who’s either cut back on drinking or stopped altogether? This gorgeous collection from Seedlip comes with three non-alcoholic spirits perfect for entertaining at home. It would look so pretty on your bar, it’s actually a great gift for drinkers and non-drinkers alike.
